About me
Hi, I’m Ana – a photographer and creative with three degrees: Physics, Interior Design, and Photography. Yes, I love structure as much as I love emotion.
I’m the founder of three creative worlds you’ll find here:
- Anushcka with Daniel – a wedding photography studio I run with my husband, where we document real love stories with ‘accidentally editorial’ feel.
- Roamance – our shared travel art and luxury hospitality photography studio, created from our love for hotels, places, atmosphere, and slow travel / staycation experiences.
- Illushcka – my illustration and graphic design universe, where I create artistic and aesthetic visuals, ‘old money meets luxury vintage’ art, and custom pieces for hotels, brands and events (including weddings)
I was born and grew up in Istria, lived in New Zealand, spent a (too) short time in the French Alps and the Dolomites, and collected inspiration from every place I once called ‘home’.
Right now, we live in Istria – but we secretly hope our work keeps taking us to as many beautiful corners of the world as possible.
About Ana
Hi, I’m Ana – the dreamer, the midnight-born Aquarius, hopelessly in love with life and small joys.
My approach to photography is simple: I don’t chase perfection – I chase feeling. I guide people naturally, I talk, I laugh with them, and somewhere in between, real moments happen. I love when photos feel effortless, when they breathe, when they look like a memory rather than a pose.
Some fun facts about me:
- I cry at weddings… every single one.
- I dance like nobody’s watching (and sometimes like everybody is).
- My favorite music while editing? Lana Del Rey and Damiano David.
- I’m addicted to Christmas and play holiday songs all year round.
- Favorite trip ever? A slow train ride winding through the Alps.
- I love drawing, collecting tiny inspirations, and turning ideas into playful illustrations.
- I’m very emotional, romantic, and probably too sentimental for this world.
- I’m always smiling — especially when he kisses me on the cheek.
About Daniel
Hi, I’m Daniel – the calm one, the detail lover, the telephoto zoom-lens guy.
I started following Ana on Instagram 2020. to admire her photos. Now I photograph her… and everything around her.
In our work, I focus on composition, architecture, and perspective. I love details, clean lines, and finding balance inside a frame. I’m also always in charge of culling — selecting the very best images from hundreds of great ones (someone has to be decisive).
Some things about me:
- I manage social media for several clients — and genuinely enjoy it.
- While editing, I always play Hans Zimmer in the background.
- Watching old Roger Federer matches is my idea of entertainment.
- I would keep a Christmas tree in our living room all year long.
- I love fireplaces, real flames, and snow falling outside the window.
- My favorite color is brown.
- Long drives and road trips are my therapy.
- And yes… I really love kissing her on the cheek.
